The reality is just as shocking, something we are all more than likely to have done at some point in our lives, making us Drink Drivers too - going to the pub / bar, drinking a stack of booze, then getting home without driving, then getting up the next morning, drinking a black coffee with two pain killers and getting in the car to drive to work, feeling awful. You are more than likely over the limit.. if you are involved in a road accident, whether its your fault or not, you will be breath tested, and you will be banned for at least a year if you are over the limit.
You see, depending on your shape / build, the following is true
2 Units for women, 2.5 for men is the rough limit in the UK for driving. The bigger you are, the more you can consume, the thinner you are the less - this is the average limit..
1 unit of alcohol takes 1 hour for liver to process it and for it to leave your body, 1 hour after it has been drunk - absolutely nothing can speed this process up (eating, coffee, water etc etc)
1 Pint of Stella contains 3 Units. So 4 hours after you've drunk it, your body will be clear of alcohol, for the first 2 hours, you are probably over or very very close to the limit.
Consume 4 pints of stella over 5 hours = 12 units.. stop drinking that last pint at midnight, but get up at 7am to drive to work, you'll still have 5 units in your system.

I agree with their point of view. Anything should be limited, if more than on the accident-prone. Alcohol intervention can be appropriate but not too much and we need to control ourselves, to do his own good at things. Motorists is not only living in a lot of things should be so we should cherish life.
